The free, inclusive community event includes carnival games, prizes, and light refreshments, with registration requested in advance. The month wraps up with the Blue Stone Arts and Music Festival on September 25 and 26 in downtown Sandy Springs, where four city blocks fill with music stages, artist booths, and a road race for anyone who wants to earn their festival food. Throughout September, the Sandy Springs Farmers Market continues every Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon at City Green, a short trip from the community for anyone stocking up on local produce and handmade goods.
October in Sandy Springs
October brings the city's biggest celebrations. OktoberFEAST returns to City Springs on October 17 and 18, with a full Bavarian spread of warm pretzels, assorted sausages, and chicken schnitzel alongside seasonal beer and live polka. Families looking for something a little spookier can head to Spooky Springs on October 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Abernathy Greenway Playable Art Park, where candy stations, face painting, and fog machines make for an easy, low key alternative to trick or treating door to door. For a night at the theater, Dog Man the Musical takes the stage at City Springs on October 11, bringing the popular children's book series to life for families in the audience.
November in Sandy Springs
As the weather turns cooler, the Sandy Springs Farmers Market keeps going every Saturday through November 22, making it easy to build a fall routine without leaving the neighborhood. November 11 brings a Veterans Day Tribute at Byers Theatre, honoring local service members with guest speakers including Navy pilots. As the month moves toward the holidays, Byers Theatre fills its calendar with concerts and shows nearly every weekend, including A Magical Cirque Christmas on November 21 and Rain, a Beatles inspired Christmas tribute, on November 23, both good previews of the holiday season still to come.
